Our tallow comes from pasture-raised cattle from farms practicing regenerative agriculture. We render it using traditional methods that preserve its beneficial properties.

No. Tallow is an animal-derived ingredient, so our soaps are not vegan. This is something we are transparent about — tallow is the entire point. Its unique fatty acid composition is what makes our bars last longer, lather better, and feel so good on skin. We honour the animal and the regenerative farms that raise them. If you are looking for a vegan option, we are honestly not the right fit, and that is okay.

The secret is tallow. It sounds simple — and it is — but it has been quietly forgotten by most modern soap brands in favour of cheaper plant-based oils that do not work nearly as well. We are bringing it back. Once you try a tallow bar, the difference is obvious. That is the secret.

Many customers with sensitive, dry, or reactive skin find tallow soap to be a significant improvement over commercial soaps. Tallow’s fatty acid profile is similar to human sebum, making it naturally compatible with skin. If you are sensitive to fragrance, we recommend starting with our Unscented (Natural) bar — it contains zero essential oils. That said, we are not dermatologists and cannot make medical claims. If you have a skin condition, please consult a healthcare professional before switching products.

We source from farms we trust and vet personally — grass-fed, pasture-raised, and no unnecessary antibiotics or hormones. However, we do not hold formal organic certification at this time. We do not test on animals, and we never will. Our products are handmade in small batches with no animal testing at any stage.

Absolutely. The tallow balm or cream may be used as a primer before makeup — it helps colour glide and keeps the skin from drinking in modern pigments. On fresh or old tattoos, the tattoo cream supports healing and colour retention, just as ancient warriors anointed their marks of honour. Use sparingly; the skin will drink what it needs.

Yes. Every bar is handmade in small batches. We mix, pour, cut, and cure everything ourselves. We do not outsource manufacturing or use contract soap-making facilities.
